Our story
You Broke It? is a locally owned electronics and device repair shop right here in Waterville, Maine. The name is a little cheeky on purpose — when your phone screen shatters or your laptop won't boot, you're already stressed enough. We wanted a name that breaks the tension and a shop that fixes the problem fast.
The technician behind the bench has more than 20 years of hands-on experience repairing phones, tablets, computers, and laptops. That experience matters: it means we've seen your problem before, we know which parts actually hold up, and we don't waste your time (or your money) chasing the wrong fix.
We specialize in iPhone and Mac repair, but we work on all the major brands — Samsung, Google, other Android phones, Windows laptops and desktops, and iPads. We keep most common parts in stock so we can knock out same-day repairs on cracked screens, dead batteries, charging ports, and more. For tougher jobs — water damage, data recovery, virus and malware cleanup, hardware upgrades — we'll walk you through your options in plain English and give you an honest price before we start.
